Hey guys i noticed today that my car is smokeing at idle but very little. When i first start it it puffs alot then smokes very little at idle.My heads are new from champion. My turbo is new and checked play seems ok and no signs of oil where the turbines are.I want to check everything before i come to a conclusion that it is the bottom end.Guys please i need more ideas as to what to check. Oh ya the smoke is blue in colour and it does smell like oil if you put your hand over the tail pipe.Is there anyway i can check to see if the heads are the problem, will i be able to see anything obvious if i pull of the valve covers?I dont notice any performance problems. Thanks for any help.:(If it is the pcv sucking oil will the pcv hose that goes between the pcv and plenum be full of oil?

I'd double check the turbine-side oil seal (split ring). I went through that a couple of times with "old" Turbonetics turbos. Look for burnt oil between the center section and the turbine housing.

Make sure your turbo drain is clear, and that the center section is clocked close to vertical. Also, try running a heavier oil to see if that changes it...thinner oil made mine worse. I feel your pain..smoke like that drives you nuts.

How common is it for your turbo drain to plug up the pipe is so wide it just seems like that pipe would never plug up.

to check your valves and and piston rings do a compression check, 1st just check all 6 cylinders, write down the numbers, then do it again with a squirt of oil in the sparkplug hole your checking and compare the #s. The oil should seal up the leaks and give you a higher compression reading if so.
