I have noticed that after i push the car to its max boost of 13psi on stock turbo the let off, it smokes a little bit out the exhaust. This happens about 10 seconds or so after letting off the boost. The smoke is blueish in color, so i know its oil, but i dont know where it is comming from and why.

I pulled the outlet tube from the turbo and looked inside and didn't see any oil residue on the turbo outlet, but i did notice that the new vacuum lines i ran to the turbo, acctuator, and solenoid are starting to get oily for some reason. I just replaced the pcv valve and breather, but that did't help.

One thing to note is that the car has one of those little k&n filters that mounts to the breather. I'm starting to think the oil may be comming out of that, but not positive.

Any ideas on how i can pinpoint the problem?

sounds like valve seals. decelleration is where you have the most vacuum and is probably drawing oil down the guides

I hope thats it because i was going to do the springs anyway.

thanks

Do you have a catch can on your PCV? I had it happen with mine with smoking, PCV sucks in oil vapors, read a lot about it with other TB owners as well. check the throttle body for unusual oil residue in the throttle body. Just my $0.02, its worth a try.

Catches any oil that may be entering the engine through the PCV to throttle body area.

Two tips above may be places to start investigating.

1. Is the PCV sucking oil? If so, a catch can would help. This is good one that works. Accurate Machine Works Retail - PCV Catch Cans There's other cheaper ones out there, but I don't know how effective they are.

2. If the PCV isn't the problem, then the exhaust valve guides would be another place to look. That one isn't as easy to correct.
