Spare tire wheel well fuel cell METCO

Has anyone installed one of these fuel cells? Would like to run both the fuel cell and regular fuel tank. My truck has dual tanks and a switch on the dash, I can switch between them. Would be awesome to run race gas in the cell and street gas in the regular tank. Don't have a clue how to accomplish this.

caspers sells a wiring harness to accomplish what you want to do (run 2 tanks).

I may consider selling my Metco fuel cell that accepts a factor hanger and pump. Also have a metco fuel cell with AN connectors only I may sell if interested.

I have thought about this idea also. One thing I have wondererd about it is dilution. When you switch from reg gas to face fuel isnt all the reg gas in the supply and return lines going to be pumped into the race gas tank. I guess if your not switching back and forth alot it will probably be no big deal.

Hi,
i use two "ball type" three way valves to switch between the fuel cell and the tank.one valve for the feed and one valve for the return.

to affectively get out all the pump gas when switching from pump gas to race gas i switch over the "feed" and leave the return in the pump gas position while running it for a few minutes then switch it.any pump gas still in the system will either get used or sent back into the tank.

Caspers has a complete harness and valve setup. The valves are on the return side not the delivery side.
