My buick has a sputtering problem at WOT. sometimes it wont do it but 95% of the time it does. It has a reds double pumper that is hot wired, accufab regulator ,55 lb injectors, 67 turbo, precision f/m, champ aluminum heads, egt , scan master, rjc power plate 212/212 roller cam, smc alky, I have replaced the coil pack and ignition module and it still did it. any ideas

A new MAF cured my sputtering problems at WOT. Seemed identical to you in that sometimes it wouldn't do it. Got a remanufactured one from NAPA.

Yeah, only at WOT did I have any problems. At first I thought it was ignition or fuel related. MAF's aren't that cheap, but I wanted to rule everything out and they are easy to change.

ok I have noticed it does it at part throttle also just though it has about 15lb of boost

MAF, Plug Wire(s), Spark Plug, loose or cracked vacuum hose (what are your vacuum readings?), flaky TPS sensor, just to name a few :)

Check the positive battery cable for shorting between the frame and header when the engine torques over.

I have checked the positive battery cable and it looked good.
could installing the cam sensor 180 out cause the prob????

Hey

My T TYPE is doing the same thing. The car is smooth when you get up to half throttle and after that it start sputtering. I am gonna start with plugs and wires to see if it fixes the problem. But it seems that all I can get it 15psi of boost. I might try the MAF.

I was having the same problems with the sputtering but mine would backfire sometimes. I have a casper ground kit on mine and the nut in the box that holds the ground wires wasn't tight at all that fixed my problem. I would look into thegounds and make sure they are tight.
