Is everyone with Stage II heads using header gaskets or copper high temp rtv?
Also with heavy springs when sitting for a while is it nessessary to back off the rockers?

TIA.

I use SCE copper exh gaskets coated with ultra copper rtv. I had alot of problems keeping header bolts tight. I cross drilled the header bolts and safety wired the little mothers:mad: . No problem now:cool: .

I don't back off the rockers during storage, but I think it is a good idea. I'd spray some WD40 in the cylinders before backing off the rockers. Keep everything rust free and happy.

I just switched to the SCE copper header gaskets after years of blowing out the Fel-Pros - so far so good.

Definitely a good idea to back off the springs if it's not going to run for a while - saves the spring pressure. FWIW.

I use TSS (Top Secret Sh!t)
