Still having climate control problems

I replaced the unit with a new one. Unfortunately, my climate control still only runs when set on the maximum fan speed, and the A/C switch doesn't work. Is there something in there I need to clean out? Any other advice?

I'd bet your problem is in the module under the hood. Here are some images:

The large transistor shown is usually the problem. It can be replaced and the new part soldered into the PC board.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Is that transistor something that I should be able to pick up locally at a Radio Shack or something?
