im going to start over im getting 6-10 detonation on scanmaster at16 lbs of boost, where do i find info to tune ?87 buick

its a kenne belle chip, thats all i know

ive got a stock chip, and two kennne belle chips, the one im using is supposed to be a middle aggressive chip, the other is supposed to be very aggressive, how do i find out?

Those chips have a lot of timing in them. You need a more modern chip like a TurboTweak chip. Any mods? How is your fuel pressure?

70mm throttle body, cheetah stage 3 turbo,2.5 inch downpipe, kenne belle 2.5 stainless exaust, applied tech stainless headers, duttweiller modified neck stock intercooler, kenne belle upper intake polished,

What is your fuel pressure at full boost. Sounds like your running a 233 regulator. Upgrade to a 237 regulator and get a TT chip for your combo.

Check the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator for leaks or check to see if it is blocked. Fuel pressure should rise 1 pound for every pound of boost.

Can you give us the rest of your scanmaster readings at idle and WOT. Obviously back off if your Kr goes up at WOT.

40psi max fp?? Sounds like the fuel pump is dead/dying (probably the most common problem new guys find with our cars).... skip the 237 regulator and get an adjustable fpr, along with a TT chip.... the KB chip is 1989 dinosaur tech. with high timing and crap calibration... TT chip is latest and greatest... like mike said, FP should rise 1:1 with boost (from 'static/base' setting - ie. vac. line off regulator, engine idling). From the sound of it, you have a fp gage you can read while driving? So... if the base fp is, say, 38 psi, then at 16 psi boost, you should have 38+16=54 psi fp. Adjust the numbers to your base fp and boost level. If you are not achieving the 1:1 fp rise with boost, then STAY OUT OF THE BOOST... or you will quickly be posting about blown headgaskets... dying pumps typically fail to increase pressure to the req'd psi, or actually start dropping psi as boost/engine load increases... sure sign....

cool, where should i orderthe chip from? i see turbo tweak has a 42 lb injector/ chip combo/ive got adjustable fpr already, and is the walbro 340 with hotwire kit good?how does that combo sound to u guys?

Order here direct from Eric: TurboTweak Home

If you plan on going faster most will recommend you make a 1 time investment...to skip the 42's and instead go with the 60's. Your call.

Walbro 340...make sure it's not one of the F2000169 pumps (it will be stamped on pump body). If it is replace it. Eric at TT also sells new Walbros that are the post F2000169 version.

Don't go WOT until you get your fuel system worked out, then with the stock intercooler and pump gas, without knowing your timing, 16psi is too much for now. Lower the boost to around 10-12psi levels and work this stuff out safely or you'll be asking questions about engine builders in your area.
