Stock pistons

Looking at my stock pistons, I see that buick is cast into the piston. This would mean they are cast, right?

I thought I remember that they were forged. If they are not, why aren't they???

why they are not forged? because that would be too expensive for the factory to use...

I'm not dissapointed with them, thats for sure. They look great. I just thought that buick would have used forged. My dad also thought he remembered reading that they were.

Nope. As mentioned, they are cast.
However, also as mentioned, they withstand a bunch! I've known people running 17psi boost and 100 shot of NOS on them w/o breaking them.
That's with proper fuel provisions though.
