stock vs. aftermarket intake gasket question..

I am getting ready to port my intake, and I can see the stock gasket lines on the hot air intake manifold and was just going to port to these lines, but was wondering if the aftermarket intake gaskets differ size for gasket matching?

Yes.

The Felpro stock replacement (blue gasket - MS96033) has slightly larger ports... but is MUCH thicker. There is also a Felpro 1200 that has bigger ports, but no valley pan.

I used the MS96033 gasket on my motor with no problem, but on a new one that I'm working on, the intake had to be milled because the heads & block had been resurfaced and we're now running a thinner head gasket.

Thanks that answered my question....Do most use the MS96033 or the oher larger gaskets? (i am sure its on the board, I'll do a search and see)
