I pass by this car from time to time and thought it was a regal but the other day I took a closer look and it's got the spoiler and turbo hood but it must be something someone made? Astro roof and fake vert roof? I may have to investigate more! It's been sitting there for years now.

Take more pics. Might just be a ttype with a dealer installed vinal roof. It may be a diamond in the rough... It'd be great if it turned out to be an IC'd limited.

Took a few more pics with a little better camera without getting out of the car. It is NE Philly someone might put a shot gun out the window for looking at it!

I see the bar code tag hanging from the back from the fuel pump for a turbo Buick. It's got a pillar gage and looks like it has the hooker cat back exhaust. Column shift. Now it's got me wondering more. I'll have to see if I can find someone around the car. It's been there for years that I can remember and it looks like it was last on the road in 2004. The rear fillers are all broken up and it looks like someone tried to pry the trunk lock out. I've never seen one with a roof like that around that's for sure!

Ring the door bell! Like the weed growing up thru the license plate area.:) Probably can scoop it up for a song OR it might be one of those "we are going to restore it" owners.

I would love a pic of the RPO codes on that thing! It's right behind this bank I use all the time but I never go down the block. Then I saw the spolier and turbo hood and thought hmmmmm Dats pimp t shirt top!

knock on the door! the worst that can happen is that they shoot....wait....nevermind! :) enjoy wondering! lol

I think that the thick padded vinyl top available as an original option on a "Regal Limited" ?...One thing for sure though...the spoiler was added 'cause it was only came on GN's...

Claude.

P.S: I just checked in "Kirban's Guide to 1986 & 1987 BUICK TURBO REGALS" on page 233, Dennis Kirban says : (quote) "What you may not realize is Buick also offered another version of the landau top. The Buick definition for this other landau top was "heavily padded landau vinyl top". the trunk ID code for this option was "CO4". The GM list price in 1987 was $260. Again it was offered in the same colors as the other landau top. This second version is extremely hard to find on a Turbo-T in 1987. In all my years of research and attending Buick events, I have only seen one, a Turbo-T Limited." (un-quote)

Wasn't the thick padded vinyl top available as an original option on a "Regal Limited" ?...One thing for sure though...the spoiler was added 'cause it was only came on GN's...

Claude.

Spoiler did NOT only come on the GN's...came on the WH1 T-types as well. Not sure about the D85 designers..but maybe on those as well??

I'm gonna have to knock now! Maybe it's one of one ever made! :D I can't believe I've been driving past it so many years and thought it was just an old mans regal that died there. There was another one just like it but not a turbo Buick. Was a white limited regal with blue t shirt top just like this car. The guy drove that up till last year and traded it in for cash for clunkers! I found out after. I always wanted to take pics of that one too. There is maybe 6 or 7 86,87 T types, GN's, and just NA regals around this area still on the roads cruising around every day or sitting in someone's yard like this one.

That is a after market top that was popular in the 80`s. I remember seeing them more on the caddy eldorados. I do see a sunroof. Maybe factory?
