Drove the car all the way home with no issues. Been testin out the propane system. I pop the hood after I notice my first issue, it feels like its pulling timing under lower mph hard acceleration (with no knock and normal O2s). I can floor it in 3rd gear and run it up fast with no knock either. I was seeing some 860+ O2 readings so I figured it was a little rich. I checked the Translator box and it was set on "No change" for the "rich/lean at WOT" setting. I gave it a couple clicks to 4% lean and then double checked all the spark plug boots and made sure they were all on tight.

Now when I floor it, its running super rich all the time, even idle. and I cant get the boost up past 10-12psi. Was running about 18psi with the propane. I'm getting some smoke under acceleration too, from the color looks like from it being too rich. and the RPMs arent going up, gets to a point close to 4K and getting a strange exhaust noise that sounds like a rev limiter or something.

I'm stumped.

Sounds very much like a cracked header. Check on the drivers side header where the 2 rear pipes are weled together. I lost 10 psi when mine cracked, and would explain the noise u have. If its not cracked, check everything else. Helps to use some hose as a stethoscope.

I've gone through that pain before and these are new headers. The problem seems to be with the wastegate or something. I had recently tried to up the boost using a manual boost controller under the hood. I turned it several 360s and no change. So I shortened the wastegate rod 3 turns and got 3psi out of it fine for about 30 miles. Then the temperature jumped to 101 outside so its hard telling what the boost was at, was hitting about 15psi again.
I had touched that wastegate rod when I was under the hood before it had the problem, didnt change anything, but seems like I've had it do this to me before. Its really touchy or something, I got it to stop doing the low boost/rpm thing after messing with the wastegate again. Is it possible its causing my issues, or just a coincidence? And why isnt the manual boost controller effecting my boost?
