Hello

I have a aftermarket chip in my 87 Regal T Type, and it by passes alot of stuff. It is by passing the wastegate solonoid, and my car is over boosting. The problem is I have a adjustable boost control but its broke. My car is over boosting when I get half way into the gas. I was wondering if I should go back to a stock computer chip or try to get a good Adjustable boost knob. My car has a 206 cam, Cold air, Power Pullies, Larger injectors ( Not sure what Size). Would going to a stock chip not work well with the modifications already done to the car.

Thanks
JON

you need a chip for the injectors you have, what do your injectors look like, look on the bottom of the chip you have, somtimes the injector size and timing and boost is identified their

What exactly do you mean by "bypassing" the WG solenoid? It worked OK before something broke? Doesn't sound like a chip problem. Details.

I really dont know much about these cars, but is the wastegate solonoid the square box on the pass valve cover, with two ports and a red wire connector? I may have my terms mixed up LOL.

Yes, that's the solenoid. The stock setup is like this

one port of the solenoid is open
Other port goes to a stepdown elbow (actually step up), then a wider hose to a "Y" connector. One leg of the "Y" connector has a restriction inside and this leg has a hose to the turbo. The other leg has a hose to the wastegate actuator.

93oct chip, with 20* timing, with 30# injectors.I don't think you have larger injectors just improved lucas disk injectors,do they have a green band on them?
