I've heard that you can get a gauge pod that mounts up by the front of the center beam in a T-top GN. Where can I get one of these?? Also who has the best price on a hooker cat-back exhaust system? I have a hole in my stock exhast and even though it passed inspection :D I'm tired of listening to the leak so its gotta go. thats all for now. thanks

lotek has em... gaugepod.com

I have it but it doesnt fit too well, doesnt look like the original trim, and it took forever to be delievered. Thumbs up for the idea, thumbs down to the rest of their operation:rolleyes:

That doesn't sound too good. :( Anyone know of any better quality pods? and the exhaust issue. thanks

Try Kirban Performance for the guage holder. I saw theirs at BG, looks like a quality piece.
Summit Racing usually has the best deal on Hooker exhaust systems...

HTH, Jim

Not to challenge your opinion BlackBuick84 but has anyone else tried the t-top gauge pod from lotek. I checked out there website listed above and in their picture the pod looks pretty good. anyone have good luck with these pods? Also... I checked out kirban's website and I didn't see a t-top gauge pod. anyone know if they actually make one?

Heh heh, i'm bored so I'll challenge myself:p. I'll explain my above opinions a little more. The part of the pod that is closest to the windshield(where u cant see in the pic) is a little long so it doesnt match up and kind of is pushed down about an 1/8th of an inch from the ceiling. I'm gonna trim it a little to make it fit. No biggie. Another little thing is if you look at the trim piece going across the t-top bar...it has several "ridges" while the Lotek one looks different. Again, no biggie, but i'm a perfectionist. When I ordered mine, they were out but didnt tell me til a week later:rolleyes:. So it took awhile for them to get more in.

But on the positive side....i've gotten about a dozen comments on how cool it looks. you've probably noticed that not many vendors sell this so there arent many alternatives. So overall its cooler than putting the gauges somewhere else, but the thing isnt perfect. just so ya know...:)

Kirban had the part for sale in quantity at Bowling Green 2000. Price back then was about $45.00...

Sent an e-mail to Dennis @ Kirban's...I'll keep you posted.

This speaks for itself...sorry I don't have a source for a better fitting holder.

"Dear Jim,

We had to discontinue the (T-top) gauge holder because it was not fitting
properly. If you are interested in our 2002 catalog please send us your mailing address and we will get one out to you. Thanks!

Sincerely,
sales@kirbanperformance.com"

I have the Lotek pod. I think the biggest downside is it that the plastic is very hard compared to the stock piece. It can't conform at all to its position. On my car it doesn't fit quite right but everyone thinks its cool. I only have my knock gauge up there. I like the fact that you can't see it at all from outside the car unless you really try. The plastic on mine is black and painted grey. The stock stuff is molded and fully grey so colours can't peak through a scratch. The Lotek is vacuum formed and trimmed so some of the originals features cannot be duplicated.

Please excuse the Canadian spelling (grey=gray, colour=color)
