What do you think the wait should be? Searching hammers the database and puts a big load on the server. Thats why there's a delay between searches.

I saw that. Under certain circumstances that can happen.

Hopefully an upgrade to 4.x is coming soon. There's a lot of stuff about this board thats kind of broken and most of it is due to poor upkeep on the previous owner's part.

Stuff is in the works.. VBSEO has been exploited here and that needs an upgrade as well. Hopefully we can get started on it next week.

I hate to say it but I may have to ask for some donations to help get this upgrade off the ground, I am trying to manage keeping funds for this and the upcoming event and I am not sure how that is going to turn out so... I am working on it

There are actually addons for VB that will incorporate the Google search box directly into the forum and actually pays us to use it. I just thought the Google search sucked. Thats why I never added it here. All of the forums that are all about the money use it and about a bazzilion other ads.

Hey Shane....Ever think about doing different level of membership...ie pay a yearly fee for features like more mail room, easier uploads, and no 45 sec wait? Otherwise maybe just through out there donations needed to keep going and set up a paypal account for it. I'd gladdly pitch the few bucks I can.

Thats something we've considered but arent going to incorporate until upgrading. VB4 is a completely different animal than VB3 so its kind of pointless to spend a bunch of time setting this stuff up here only to move to VB4, especially given that a lot of crap needs to be cleaned out of the database.
