Well anybody that read my story last week about the brass block where the oil sending switch and turbo feed line thread in to, breaking off inside the block Here is the rest of the story so far. Went and bought an e-z out and began trying to get it out. Well after about 15 mins of trying different things, the E-Z out decided it was gonna break off inside of the block as well:mad:(this was a good EZout not a cheapo) Both broke inside the block about a 3 mm in. I can't get a chizle and hammer on any lip or anything like that. Should I just drill it out? How would I clean the debree out of the hole there so i don't kill my turbo? Any ideas, How would the block and threads hold up to very high heat (the broken brass would melt pretty quick). I don't want to pull the motor out but it looks like that may be my best bet.

The problem is the location.. Only option is drilling it out. But how to keep debris from entering... man thats gonna be tough.

How bout a reverse drill bit, meaning it cuts in a reverse direction and maybe it decides to catch the EZ out..

I feel for ya. bad place.. and probably broke off due to bad angle. I can see it happening..

You may consider getting a right angle drill for that purpose.

Post back. Good luck.

There is a special tool for this...I think snap on carries it (yes - expensive) It's an easy out done RIGHT. I think it's an called extraction kit. It comes with reverse drill bits and special bits that thred into the reverse drilled hole.

NOW - your biggest problem is going to be drilling out the broken easy out. You might not be able to do it...they are extremely hard.

As far as the debris - grab what you can with a magnet (it won't grab the brass though) and then you can always run the engine without the turbo on. A pain but it might work...

In the end, your best bet is to pull the motor.

Keep area clean use this

I have used this to keep intake runners clean while I tapped out threads. You can shop vac it out then clean up with rags. AutoZone sells left hand drill bits $9 something:)
