I have some questions on used cams. I see cams with 100 or 1,000 miles on them for sale. How many people have installed used cams? Has anybody had problems with them? Burnt lobes ect.? I currently have a used Poston 110 cam in my tool box and I am contimplating putting it in my car. I am curious.

Only if it was a close close friend or family that I knew and knew the history of the sucker.

I would NEVER do it..
IF it goes bad it takes everything with it, bearings, crank, cylinders, etc.. not worth it to me..

Yeah thats a good one, heres one.

Tripping over dollars to pick up nickels.

You just have to KNOW it's a good cam. Original lifters can be used with the cam as long as you know what the position for each lifter was. If not, new lifters are absolutely necessary.
