i run 24/22 at 27 psi of boost. 797 02's no knock. first and second are 820 815 so i could bump up timing to 25 but every car is different. you will have to put in chip and start at 16 to 18 psi and work up from there. i know a guy running 27/25 with 23 psi but like i said every car takes boost and timing differently.

on te44 i ran 27/24 (most i could get from that chip) at 24 -25psi (11.5s)
on ta49 ran higher boost same timing (same chip)

with the 86 i run 25/24 (chips were old, TT 26/25 i took 1 degree out and a TT 22/20 street i threw 4 degrees in )
i now have an new TT chip w/ability to bring up way more timing for 1-2 but at this level i tread lightly as any KR could get ugly

dont start with high timing
get your boost dialed in where you want to be with 23/20 timing and no signs of KR
if you decide to up timing a datalogger is highly recommended , start bring up timing watching carefully for any kr ,

so i have a 110 race chip from TURBO TWEAK so do i need to back some fuel out also? FOR THE ALKY

Send the chip back to Eric and have him burn you an alky chip.

my TT5.3 race chip was burned for 25psi 75# injectors . i pulled out 8-10% when i ran the 10.40 passes with it .
you should find the same amount needs to be pulled if your chip was burned for 25psi

generally you can replace 15-20% of your fuel with alky but as your car goes faster fuel appetite goes up so you end up with a mixture of about 8% reduction of fuel and still maintain alky at 15-20%
colder air will require more fuel
warmer air will require more alky

I've ran as much as 27d in 1st/2nd and 24d in 3rd @ 25 psi...no knock.

Race chips are designed to open up the injectors. You need to send the chip back for a reburn.

HTH

26 degrees in 3rd should be no problem if the tune is right at 22 psi. With 110 and alky id go 30-32 degrees at 22 psi.

My extender chip is set for alky with 27D. Car pops. I think I need to pull timing out?

You need to bring timing down significantly if your having issues. I'd put the timing to 20D.. And I would bring boost down as well.

Typically popping happens from weak ignition systems

I forgot to mention TT’s alky chips are set up differently then race chips, the timing I’m talking about. Eric pulls timing out in 1st gear then after "X" time the timing is put back in. This helps with 1st gear knock. I had nothing but problems running a race chip with alky. My car would knock at 10 psi and then creep up. After getting Eric alky chip no issues.

funny my chips always have 1 degree more in 1st
