Anyone know the correct torque specs for the rear pinion nut ? I have replaced the driveshaft and rear pinion yoke with 1350 series stuff.

I will take it to a shop to get the rear pinion bearings replaced before I run it but I'd like to get it close so I can get it onto the trailer to take it to the shop. I don't want to damage or burn out the bearings getting it there.

Your suppose to tighten the nut so there is about 20 inch pounds of preload on the bearings. If your getting the rear rebuilt just make it good and snug, put it on the trailer and let the pro's handle it.

Use a new crush sleeve--

Yes and dont plan on crushing that thing to easy. Ive done it slowly with a 3/4 drive impact and constantly checked till i got 20inch pounds of drag. A 1/2 drive wont do crap against that sleeve. It takes a lot of effort to crush it. You could use a big breaker bar with a piece of pipe on the end also, preferably 3/4 inch drive for safety.
