I was wondering if I could get some opinions/results from those using tps enhancers. I understand how they work, just want to know if they do!!! With my throttle cable adjusted for good shifts I am still not getting much more than 4.0 tps on scanmaster with pedal fully depressed. (engine off). It does seem it reads a little more wot but not up to maximum that it should. Worn tps sensor? Still trying to learn!!! THANKS, Kent

The car is already on the rich side anyway,tps-tec makes it even richer. What GN owner you know drives at wide open throttle at 60%.Had one on my car for a minute,no difference on the track or the street.Waste of money and time, get a power plate instead.Just my humble opinoin.

there are plenty of people on the board who run very well at the track with out that item.

All it takes is good tuning and the stock TPS system is not a bad system so long as the components are in a good state of operation.

If you're having trouble with your TPS sensor, first put it on a analog meter and watch the needle travel, if there are any dead spots in the potentiometer (TPS), the needle will drop out.

Also, check the grounds at the back of the passenger side cylinder head. The TPS ground point is there, make sure its clean, tight and is making good connection. You can check this with a Digital VOM on Continuity setting.

anything over 4.0 is plenty for tps. But, you should check and see if the throttle butterfly is opening properly when the pedal is on the floor. Sometimes thetv cable is tight and not allowing the butterfly to go all the way to wot.

Thanks for all the responses and suggestions. I do have a powerplate by the way. I have tuned quite a bit with the TPS and IAC settings along with fuel pressures and boost#s. Maybe I am getting all out I can. I will check with a meter next to see how readings look. It sounds better to put this money towards alcohol!!! THANKS AGAIN! Kent

was looking at your sig, and noticed you are running the 36lb injectors.

you might want to consider upgrading those to MSD 50s to support the additional boost you'll be potentially running when you put on alky.

the fuel system should be setup to adaquately compensate even with alky, its more wise and safe that way and it will prove itself down the road.

You CAN run the alky with what you have, however, you will more than likely exceed the flow and efficiency characteristics of your current injectors way before meeting the full potential of your turbo and benefits of alky.

Give the car the fuel capability first, then add on the alky. Its a wise move.
