It looks like a 2004R and a Pat's 10/11 convertor:D

-No stripped splines
-Not a whole bunch of metal when the fluid and convertor were drained
-Nothing visible in the convertor busted
-Input shaft wouldn't just pull right out (2 piece);)
-Output is intact
-Inner shaft (don't know what the term is...maybe pump) up front spins freely
-Outer shaft up front does not spin at all

So what is left? Maybe the pump or drum?

Anyone make a billet pump?:D

Now I am a little:confused:

The convertor and trans goes to the shops tomorrow for inspection but at this point is anyone in agreement I should opt for a billet drum and input shaft?

All I was doing was building boost on the trans-brake and this happened. Real afraid when I really crank on it parts will really scatter.

Anyone want to take another guess?

We are cutting the convertor open tomorrow while I wait but the trans will hop to the back of the line. Any thoughts at this point?

Broken fwd drum shaft?

We are now making billet pump rotors and slides. Come in sets only. This will be big news coming up here shortly. ;)

Forward drum then. Is it due to all the torque I applied to it or just a fatigue thing you think?

Probobly,

little of both. don't know. They were just not made to handle either. :D

So Bruce at my level what billet things you suggest and what is the HP/Torque ratings they can endure repeatedly?

Every bit you can find.......:D

Ordered CK's billet input shaft and drum Monday. I will report back how much abuse they can handle:D

I do have one question tho...

Not to be a smart ars but why in the world would you ask my opinion then purchase from my competitor?
Just mighty curious......

I contacted Chris right after this happened one reason. He gave me some good opinions on options for two. He is relatively local so I can show up at his door if I tear up his pieces:D for three. Chris is walking my trans guy through the dual feed procedure (added bonus) while my trans is there for four. Being local and pricing made it much more cost effective from CK for five.

And last but not least......aren't your pieces and his basically the same? At least by the descriptions it sure does seem like it.

FWIW I have your blue clutches and anchor pin I got recently from you in my trans. Guess I like throwing all the vendors a little bone.

cool cool

I was just asking, but no, the parts ARE NOT the same.
I'm cool with it. :D

What is different about them? Both inputs are 300M. Both drums are stockers with the 300M welded to it, heat treated and reinforced. Please explain what makes yours superior.

I'll know tomorrow when i add ATF and fire it up , ( just finished installing the trans)

I'll post some results Chris...:D
