Is there any trick to getting the Transmission dipstic tube in the tranny? I know dumb question, but anyone thats been there will know what im talking about. lol

It should just slide in. I just swapped trannies and I didnt have a problem. Just have to make sure its lined up right.

It will slide in the grommet a lot easier if you smear a thin film of ordinary grease on the grommet first. If it won't go in place it's possible that it's bent or just hits the firewall. Try unbolting the trans mount and jacking the rear of the trans up if that's the problem. A new, dry grommet can be a bitch if you don't grease it first. I R&R trans. for a living (done over 1000 and counting) and grease every tube I put in. Hope this helps.

The only thing that I had to do is just loosen the tranny mount bolt and drop the tranny down a little. Mine was hitting the firewall too. Just put a jack with a piece of wood under the tranny and lower and raise it back up. :)

Well was it a Bitch to get the bolt that goes through the bracket and bolts up to the tranny/engine block. i know Its only a dip stick tube i can rebuild a motor but can get this damnthing in right
