Tranny/ Torque Conv. Problem ?

Hold brake to build boost and can't get 5lbs. of boost. Put car in park and idles smooth and perfect. Engine revs perfect. Put car in drive and just move at idle and I here rattle, scraping noise under car and is jerking back and forth. Give it a little gas and it jumps and bucks. Going down the road it is smooth. What could this be? Seems tranny relate?. What are the signs of a bad torque conv? Engine seems normal.

I'm not a transmission expert, but I've had my fair share of tranny problems. The one thing that you mention is the rattle at idle, and I did experience a rattle at idle just before my converter let loose. I would recommend taking it to a reputable transmission shop and have them diagnose the problem before you do any further damage.
