On setting the MAF base the directions state "The adjustment has effect over the entire airflow range."
Yet in the setting table it says "richer at idle" or "leaner at idle".
Question is if I set it for a "leaner at idle" setting does this in fact effect the entire airflow range or just the idle?
I am running a 3" MAF from a 02 Malibu that tended on the lean side per my blms with the base set at 3 (135-145 at cruise). I tried setting 0 last night and the car seemed happier, blms tended toward the rich side (115-125) at cruise. WOT o2s were right around 800 on setting 0.
Also, I'm running a thrasher 92 chip with alky, Does the WOT switch do anything with a thrasher chip or not. I've read both. thanks.:p

Since you have the 3" maf, the settings are 3(base), 4 (richer), and 5 (leaner). Yes the base settings affect the entire flow range.
And no, the WOT switch wont have much affect at all, since you're not running and extender chip to take advantage of the flow ranges beyond 255.

You've also found out that some of the 3.5" settings work with 3" mafs (base 0, 1, 2 are 3.5" maf settings).

Try BASE 4 setting.

Always make sure to reset the ECM anytime the BASE settings are changed, and go out for a few miles drive around to get the ECM re learned.
