I'm thinking about upgrading MAF with a translator, what other parts do i need to make the change? 87 gn stock motor

You will need the MAFT as listed, and an LT-1 MAF, or an LS-1 MAF with the adapter harness for it, and you will be set.

For a little bit more, you can control both timing AND fuel, by installing a Translator PLUS and Extender chip. Worth considering.
