Well, after completing a very dusty 740 mile drive in the GN, I've decided it's time for a tune up, as it's running a tad rough. And since gnttype.org is down, I do have some questions:

1. What would be the best plugs to run? (mods in sig)
2. What seems to be the best trans fluid? Or a good one, at least?
3. I think I have an exhaust leak between the driver's side header and the Y-pipe/collector. Is there a gasket in there? If so, where could I get a new one?
4. Is there a way to set the IAC/TPS without a scantool of some sort, or am I up **** creek?

Thanks for your input, guys! 'purciate it ;)

I like the A/C CR43TS plugs, gapped at .032" for 27psi. boost. :)

.035" if you are under 20psi. boost.

Any GM rated tranny fluid works, make sure you get or have a tranny cooler on the car, and do the filter and gasket.

There is/was a composite gasket between the turbo and header available if that is where the leak is, no gasket from the factory. It's a turbo Riviera application.

You can check the TPS volts with a voltmeter but not the IACV counts.

Dark Blue wire is positive output for the meter and the black is the ground should you wish to do key on car OFF tests for the TPS sensor. You can also do idle tests with the car running just keep the meter leads away from anything moving. :)

I use needles and alligator clips to make the connections into the wire through the insulation, don't fubar the wires or the insulation or put the needle through your fingers like I have done. ;)

Thanks for the help :)

I have the Fram filter/gasket transmission kit, but the trans service probably won't be done today.
