The Two Step Program
I did not see a Torq. Converter in your Mod list or cam, head work, IC, which all helps in knowing in order to give good advice on where you might be power wise with a particular Turbo choice.
If you have a very good TC 9" 10" L/NL, 3200 stall minimum, and the supporting fuel, then there are several choices that you can go with.
In my experences, GN guys who eventually see themselves at high-tens, which I think is probably a money catagory, which is around 8k counting tranny rebuild, and all support pieces. It is common knowledge that the Turbo 109 stock block can acheive those type numbers on borrowed faith. Anyway I getting off subject. If you are one of those go fast buick guys, and it sounds like you may be, then I think there is two rational turbo choices in sequence from a stock piece. A 61-63mm Wheel with 009 injectors, and then a 67-70mm compressor wheel with 60# or 72# injectors. After that build a staged motor and educate me on turbos. Now people will tell you that they have went faster with such and such turbo, but it is matter of supporting cast, and how much boost did it take. Anywho, a 61-63 mm compressor wheel is a good wheel for learning how to TUNE, handle, drive, and work on your engine changing head gaskets. This size turbo is forgiving enough to make a few mistakes on, but powerful enough to blow your skirt up and earn some street credit. Then once the learning curve is over and your tired of running 27-30 PSI for an 11.teen, Then upgrade to a 67-70 mm compressor wheel and create enough power to run 10.90-10.50s on 25-27 PSI with alky, until you split a crank cap. Then build a TSM 109 block and run 9.90s. P.S Don't get caught up to whom you should buy from.
