Gotta quick question, I am swapping from stock to TE44, question is, the new turbo has the heavy duty actuator, is there anything I need to do to make this work on the stock ECM setup, I have no aftermarket boost controller or anything like that. Any other hints/tips would be great as well. I am soaking the bolts now, going out of town for 2-3 weeks so they will have plenty of soak time.
TIA

Start with the WG rod long enough so that is slips on without much tension. Take her for a spin, watch your boost and KR and adjust from there - at least that's what I did. gnttype.org :( had a great write up on swapping the turbos - you should still be able to locate it with a google search. I don't know if it's necessary, but I put some oil in the oil feed hole in the turbo before I installed a new oil feed line.

Ask someone who really knows about this - but if you have a high boost actuator you should maybe find out whether or not you should still use the factory solenoid and the Y hoses.

Exactly, that is what I need to know...................

Check this out with others first - but at least it gives you something to think about.
Run a hose from the turbo directly to the high boost actuator.
Leave the solenoid connected, with with no hoses going to or from it.
