Turbo timers opinion?

I have a ricer buddy who tells me that a turbo timer is a really good idea, he has one on his Supra and has a spare he'll cut me a deal on. I can see the benefit of letting the car cool down and letting the impeller slow down, but what is the consensus on these things?

Generally allowing the oil to circulate out of the turbo and cool down is good for it -- otherwise it leaves resins in the turbo.

So it is a good idea in my opinion. Is it worth the money? That's your call. I don't mind sitting in my car an extra couple minutes to let the turbo cool but that's me. Ricers like it because they get to show everyone how their car shuts off automatically.
