Turbo to DP Graphite gasket problem.....ATR DP

Well I was enlarging the hole in the turbo so I wont have any creep,,I bolted the dp to the turbo with the ATR graphite gasket in place and close the puck ,I notice the puck did not seal to the flange,LIke a 1/16th" gap ,,turbo is off the car as well as the DP and I was looking thru the 3bolt flange to see this.
So i removed the graphite gasket and tried it without ,and it seals perfect(you can hear that thump when you close it)

Am I the only person that this has happened to or is it common.
Anyone have problems building boost.....

i dont use a gasket there, if you want/have to use one i would suggest having a machine shop make a thicker puck
