turbo whistle

hey guys,i'm just wondering how you can achieve that mean turbo whistle that alot of us TR guys like.now i've heard that stock turbos get that high pitch whistle and the te44 has a lower tone to it.what turbo is the loudest that you can run on the street?cause i want one! but i just put a Big Mouth on my car today and i already have a machined aluminum inlet bell and kirbans 3" pipe to the MAF and a stock turbo with a THDP.will this give me a mean sounding turbo whistle?? cause i want everyone around me to know that there's a TR around. let me know what you guys think.

take the cat off cody i'll help ya if you want.. remember.. im the guy that sometimes comes out to the bbq place.. always run the dump open

He's right...ditch the cat if you can. I've got the 4" big mouth kit, ME DP/dump and Hooker exhaust. When I get on it, it sounds like a fighter jet. TE44 too. Gets alot of attention under boost...and then there's the turbo fart....

hey guys,i have the test pipe with the cutout,but i mostly only take it off at the track,but i would like some more whistle thru the muffs.i have no cat.but then again i havn't taken the car out since the Big Mouth.sometimes when i'm in the mood i take the dump off though.and i thought the te44 would be a good choice.

What i did...

I am running a test pipe and NO mufflers with 2 1/2 pipe over and out in stock location. I am using the Turbo as a muffler! Talk about whistle...Just driving normal with like 2-3 pounds of boost it whistles like you wouldn't believe! As the Teens say around here..."Thats the shiznit!"

isnt my combo basically the same as no/straight exhaust? i am running the atr single 3" with the pitbull mufflers, and some how a 3" pipe fell right into my cat....

I'm the same as Qwikturbo. 2-3 pounds of boost at part throttle and EVERYONE looks.....especialy the muffler crowd.
