Upper radiator hose question

Took my intake pipe off to clean and noticed that my upper radiator hose looks flat in some areas, as if it is deforming somewhat. This is a brand new hose which hasn't seen 1000 miles yet. Any ideas as of what is causing my hose to do this? Car has not overheated and seems to stay around 160 degrees on the scanmaster. Ideas? Thanks

Is it a cheapo???

For $20 I'd throw it away and start over...

I took the radiator cap off and there was some pressure behind it. The hose seemed to open up after I did this. I haven't drove the car today but did some yesterday. Wonder why there was still pressure after sitting for a day or so?

That's a good thing. The system is sealed up well.
