I'm no guru master, but I can tell you that when that happened to me new clamps and hoses fixed it. Mine didn't look bad, but they just wouldn't stay on no matter how hard I cranked down the clamp. Got new ones from Kirban - never had 'em pop off again (except when I forgot to tighten the clamps, which is of course operator error).

get the heavy duty upgraded clamps from kirban.

also, be real anal about how your intercooler is lined up...

Mess around with the up-pipe so that it sits as long as it can, don't stick it in all the way in the hoses...

Lowe's hardware, buy a PVC pipe coupler. I think the 3" one is that fit on my uppipe. Just take your uppipe off and carry it into the store and try it out. They come with a pair of hose clamps, and the rubber deals have grooves to hold those clamps. Longer than the stock hoses too. Only use them for the top and bottom of the up-pipe though, the heat of the turbo outlet would murder them.

Also make shure you clean the surface good when adding new heavy duty clamps.

Once grease/oil gets on those hoses, it's a pita to keep them on the pipes. That's why I went to the rubber pvc pipe couplers. It's basically physically impossible to pop off the uppipe with them on there. Just make sure to watch your boost gauge and make sure you don't overboost, since now you don't have the safety factor of the pipe blowing off :P

If oil/grease is on your hoses, chances are it is in your up pipe as well and in the IC too. Might be a good time to remove it and clean it out with a couple cans of carb cleaner. Then rinse out with water and let it dry on your roof.

Wipe the mounting lips on the TB and the intake pipe with brake cleaner. ;) I'm not sure what people are referring to by rubber PVC pipe couplers, but if it's what I am thinking of I'd be reluctant to use a non-reinforced rubber connector. You'd be shocked how even 1/4 thick rubber can balloon with 25+ psi on it. I used 3" Goodyear rad hose on my car. I've been to 26 psi with just normal hose clamps without any issues. In fact the hose was really stuck to the IC and TB when I went to remove the intake pipe to mount the alky nozzles.

C'mon Randy, get off that billfold and get you some t clamps.:D I see the GT turbo is really moving that leadsled. BTW I have the DS hardware from Mark when you need it.
