valve cover gaskets...

Are GM valve cover gaskets the way to go? I replaced mine with a pair I got from Poston and the fit was terrible....more oil on my driveway now than before. They were some mixture of cork and blue particles (I forget the name now)

i've used cork and neoprene and my best results have been neoprene. I afixed to the valve cover with the right stuff,let them sit abit and attached to the head. Plus using over again and again is possible. You still have to re torx the bolts every now and then. Even with lock tight on bolts they still work loose.
