I thought changing valve cover gaskets would be an easy job. I ran into a few problems - mainly the engine is cramped on the sides. What all do I have to remove to take off the pass. side valve cover ? I couldn't seem to get it all the way off, it kept getting stuck in the back. Or, should i just leave it halfway on and replace the gasket as it is? Another thing, should i use any sort of glue or just the gasket? I noticed there was some on there right now. I got the felpro cork gaskets with tabs. Also, when I removed the bolts them seemed pretty loose to me. thanks.

valve cover gaskets

Ac side is the hardest, just takes patience. If you are going to take the time to replace the gasket you may want to look at Felpro VS50156T
Lasts longer, instant fit, can't over torque, chemical free sealing

It will come off without removing anything but the breather and breather shield on the valve cover - just rotate and tip it until it comes out. I just put a dab of RTV on the corners of the cork gasket to keep it in place when I rlepaced it.
