Try the Lucas Oil Stabilizer. I bet your noise will diminish considerably.

My '85 does that too.......Most of the time it does it, it is after it has been sitting for a day or two. Kinda scary if ya ask me:confused: Could it possibly be a bad bearing, but you would be able to tell with oil pressure? Right? What should the stock oil pump be pushing for oil pressure?

Idling?
Cruising?
WOT?
70 MPH?

TIA

Nick

i noticed that noise as well. it started after i installed a
filter relocation kit to save the turbo bearing.

Do you guys have one as well.

guys, a bad anti drain back valve in a oil filter causes that.you hear that noise for 3 seconds becuase the filter has no oil so the motor has to fill it. I had that problem with my first and only fram I eve used. I use purolator now, no problems.

check out your filter
