ok ive got a set of ploy engine mounts in my car and my tranny is going out.
my question is this ive read on here that when a trans is going out it can vibrate mine vibrates at ideal is it the trans or could it be just the solid mounts i have, also if the trans is vibrating can it hurt my motor because it off balance

I can't really address the transmission questions, but I can tell you my experience with poly mounts. I too had polys on both sides and had a small amount of vibration-not a big deal. Anyway, I decided to retain the ds poly mount, but I went to an Autozone oem style mount on the ps. The ds poly keeps the engine from twisting, just like a torque strap would, bu the ps rubber allows a little cushioning. My ps mount now sits on a shelf.
