What is the best filter to use with PTE's turbo saver?

What is the best filter to use with PTE's turbo saver?

Also,
The directions say to prime the lines from the remote filter to the adapter that goes where the stock filter was.
I do not see how you can take the lines off the remote base?

I think the Baldwins that they include with the kit are pretty highly rated. I'm ashamed to admit that I've been using Frams, but recently switched to NAPA Gold filters which are made by Baldwin and are allegedly of the same quality as the Baldwin-branded filters.

? Actually, I thought they were Wix brand, but Wix is also a high quality, made-in-USA filter.
If buying at NAPA, go with the slightly more expensive "Gold" series filters ...

Wix also makes a series of very rugged "Racing" filters I've requested a catalog for ... thick metal shells, high operating pressures, etc

Wix,
and the long GM Truck Oil Filter.
Holds well over a guart.

My bad. I knew it was one or the other - it is Wix, not Baldwin.

I use the PF932. It's about 9" long and holds about 2 quarts of oil.
I haven't found a dealer that stocks it unless they do heavy duty trucks. GM# is 25010754

ALL YOU CAN DO IS FILL THE LINE COMING UP TO THE REMOTE FILTER........THE ONE WITH THE SCREW ON FITTING. YOU CAN ALSO ATTEMPT TO PUT OIL IN THE OTHER SCREW ON LINE AT THE ORIGINAL OIL FILTER LOCATION. FILL THE AC 1218 OIL FILTER WITH OIL AND CRANK THE STARTER FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND YOU'LL BE GOOD TO GO.

YOU CAN ALSO USE A WIX 51049 AND THERE'S A BALDWIN #. I LIKE THE AC.........$3.00 IS ENOUGH! ;)

Just ask for your favorite type of oil filter for a 1966 pontiac V-8...it's the correct filter for the turbo saver.

I use the Wix or Napa (Wix) brand.
Just FYI, there was a cutaway test done and there was NO difference between the Napa Gold & Silver...same filter.
Alot of good info here:
