Want to Rebuild Bottom End need your suggestion

i want to rebuild my bottom end and i am looking to do it under $4,000. any info on what i should get. i was think ATR cam billet mains. maybe girdle. pistions and umm i dont know what else. let me know what you all think. this is a hot air car but the bottom ends are about the same. my combo is in my signature. if u have any questions please ask

I am currently building a spare for mine. It should be done this summer. I am putting in .020 JE pistons, and my stock rods were shot peened and have ARP rod bolts. Make sure you have all of your parts magnafluxed and checked to make sure there are no cracks and all that. If you plan on going into the 11's or faster the two center main cpas would be good. And again, depending on how fast you want to go, a girdle might be necessary. I am also going to put ARP main studs in mine. Just my .02

I think your question is a little broad... what kind of specific questions do you have? More specifics about what you are shooting for would help. Street car, strip car, ??? What condition is the engine in, ie does it really need new pistons? Does it need a crank? The devil's in the details here I think. Good machining and tolerances are going to be most important.
