I had to change a tv cable the other day and I purchased an aftermarket replacement. When I went to install it on the transmission side the little metal linkage would not side through the new cable but it did fit through the original gm one. I was scratching my head for a moment and then noticed the tv linkage coming from inside the transmission was different. Is this normal or did someone bend it into a S-shape. The other one with the one bend fits through fine. I posted a pictures of the two types I have now.

Well I know for sure the one coming out of the case is correct. I have an aftermarket TV but it was the same as the factory piece.
