weatherstriping woes

hay more weatherstriping woes.. i put brand new gm orignal window weatherstriping the ones that you rest your arm on when the windows open .. i still have my door panels off, I drove my car tonight in the rain and noticed watter dripping through the door comming from the center of the seal.. has this happend to anyone? is a little bit of seapage normal i woudlent think so...

It's normal. There are drain holes in the bottom of the door. While the panel is off, make sure they are clear.

Now you know that on a car, any car, rain water runs right through the doors. And there's a seam on the bottom with an untreated edge, which likes to rust. That's why your door bottoms go. Planned obsolescence. And you thought washing your car was good for it...

heh it reminds me of a submarine with watter running through the vehicle and you think HAY!@ oh noooo watter thats not right!!!!!!!! fix it! heh well its good to know now im not as angry with the seals as i was thanks!.
