Get a pushrod measuring tool and make sure you are as close as possible.
 
Thanks for the reply Pronto. When I assembled my engine I used a push rod checker which measured an 8.250. That is the length push rod that I am using. I Know that there are a lot of variables and pretty much every engine is different but I'm just wanting to know what others are using.
