Well its not like this has not happened before!

Tuned the car late at night and got it running very very well.........went to the track and as soon as i load it up it bogs and feels like the motor is off..........get off it and back on and it bogs...........could not even make a pass.

This happened last year as well, same exact thing.......i took fuel out and it got better but i am already down to 37psi fuel pressure idle.
I may be barking up the wrong tree and have an ignition problem or a ground problem.........my favs!

Car idles a little rough(big cam) and revs very strong in park.........drives around fine untill you really get on it.

Any ideas?

See my post in the lounge for combination.

Could the dfi be this sensitive to weather changes??
I tuned it in 10 degree colder weather.
At the track there was a 1 hour wait to make a pass so playing around and re tuning was not possible because of the long waits.

I did notice a potential problem with my pos battery post.........little loose even cranked as tight as i can get it.

Mike.

And to top it off when i left (dark) my trailer brakes would see full power when i turned my head lights on........still have to address that problem..........i love racing!

Might have solved the problem, will now rev right up to 10psi boost on the brake.
We will see at the track tomorrow!

Results are in.

Well i am still battling the bugs, did not get a clean pass..........still bogging.........when i do a burn out, (unless i hammer it right down) and out of the hole and on my 2-3 shift.
From 3rd shift up i am home free........no problems.

Also have to get used to the trans brake, left it in 2nd on one pass........but got out of it.........on another i accidently broght it back to 1 on the launch but got off it and upshifted real quick.

Is there a shifter with a reverse pattern for the 200r4?

Anyway in the middle of tuning my laptop battery died and the cig adapter would not work for some reason...........also with gen 6 you have to have your ignition on to make changes...........while doing that the car battery went dead.............it was weak untill you got the car going but did not hold a charge very long.

I swapped batterys with my tow vehicle and made 3 10 sec passes.(all with bogging problems.......rich in certain areas of the fuel map).

60 foot times were poor(rich off the line) 1.732 best.

Last pass was a 10.767@132.43 with a 1.755 60 foot.(again bogging out of the hole and on the 2-3 shift.

I then put it back on the trailer........i had enough.

On a possitive note i did not break anything and got my best mph and et to date!
Mike.

What was the other two 10 sec passes? How much boost? Your car should run at least 7 more mph when it's right. You have a stock crank?

What was the actual a/f ratio on the launch? What about after the launch and on the shift where it bogged?

most any old shifter that works in regular pattern will work in reverse (we use B&M Mega Shifters)

The other passes were at 26 psi (last setting from early in the week, i did not look at the boost gauge.......looking at other things).

The mentioned one was at 29psi.

10.853@129.66, 1.732 60 foot.@26psi
10.913@129.19, 1.844 60 foot.@26psi
I am using the factory original shortblock, minis the cam of course.

I only had egt to go by, my new wb02 has been sent back because it did not work.

What was the highest exhaust temp? If I were you I wouldn't go back to the track without the WB02. Without it you might as well not have DFI. You can't rely on EGT alone.

Yes very true........i was itching to go though!

Egt's were 1710 or so max at 26psi and hit 1810 egt at 29 psi.

Hold on before you freak out..........c16 and low timing at the big end, 12 degrees.

The wbo2 will really tell the rich/lean story, i changed Acceleration Enrichment and air temp correction on the program..........never touched them before, could be the culprite??

New to dfi as of late last year and i am a one man team, so we shall see.

Maybe its a airflow problem and maybe its time for some ported heads to use with that big 76 gtq turbo.

I have ported heads on it...........the shortblock(block/crank/rods/pistons/rings/bearings/maincaps/main,rod bolts are factory original untouched.

still bogging.........when i do a burn out, (unless i hammer it right down)

^ could be a hole in the TPS, if not the fuel map.

Update.........program is sorted out........60 foot is not.
New personal best

10.573@134.27mph
1.671 60 foot
6.920 8th@104mph...............went 105.30 8th on another pass.
