I'm trying to get my 87 GN back to factory stock and I am trying to determine if the side door mouldings were an option. Currently my car doesn't have them (after a repaint). I understand the RPO code was B88? I checked the original window sticker and there is no mention of it. My service tag does not have the B88 code on it.

Does any one no for certain?

Body side moldings...

were not standard...

B88 option was $60 on your window sticker and would show on the SPID label. Since B88 is not listed on yours, the car originally did not come with them.

Body side moldings were also available as a dealer installed option. Glad you don't have them because the dealer installed moldings were riveted to the car.

There was a very recent thread on this topic - factory or dealer installed body side moldings in this section if you wanted some additional reading.

Check the SPID label in the trunk. If your GN didn't come with the B88 body side moldings than you should have the B81 code on the label which is body side molding delete. You'll have one of these codes on the label. This only applies to GNs. No T-Types or other models of TR's.:)
