What are you paying for Cable Internet

Well I have been paying 42.99 a month for ComCast.com

I get the bill today and the new FU@KING rate is 60.95

Tell me what I can do ,,is there another Cable provider in my area ,,how do I go about changing or even finding a new provider,,,I am not paying them $61 FU@KING dollars

Insight BB is the provider and I pay 99 a month but it is for:

House phone
Cable Internet
Digtal Cable (T.V)

Cablevision was $45/mo. but I hear it's going up. I switched to DSL for $30. Doesn't sound like a big savings, but $15 is $15. It's slower, but not so much that the average user would care (I get 1.5 Mbps down, 128k up). If you're a "power" user or host (Cablevision said it was illegal to host anyway) then you should stick with cable.

86GN: How do you like your cable telephony service? I work for "the phone company" and am always curious about the competition. Not many people have it 'round here (though Cablevision offers it).

comcast here...45 per month...i haven't noticed the increase in price??? i am dropping them anyways because we are moving and we are gonna get DSL because of the high volume of people in the area...you do not wanna share a cable connection in a large neighborhood...it will be SLOW

I had MediaOne/AT&T/Comcast and when they raised it to $60 a month (because I wasn't a cable TV customer) I dropped them like a rock for SBC Yahoo DSL for $29.99 a month. Yeah, its slower then the cable modem was, but its more consistent (1200kbits average) and it rarely has an outtage compared to the cablemodem which was up down almost weekly for hours at a time....

Well you can inform them that customers will be dropping like flies,,I make good money (2jobs) so I am not cheap by anymeans,,but I will not have my bill go from42.99 to 61.00.

Comcast will always send you a letter before hand explaing if they did increase it.

It's funny because my neighbor wanted to get cable internet and when he called they said it was $10 more then mine is.

Never have had any trouble with it,nor did I have any with the my other service from the phone company.It just came with the package.Works Great.
