I thought the OP for this topic had a great idea. IIRC, wife asked what car mags the OP would be interested in reading as ideas for Christmas. it was a good thread. thought I'd try to recreate it...
someone posted that MotorTrend has discontinued the printed version of some 14 titles, but these titles are supposed to live on via digital-only format. https://www.racingjunk.com/news/2019/12/09/ten-publishing-scraps-19-automotive-magazines/
other than some of the mags above no longer printed, I read the following:
-engine professional - the quarterly publication from AERA, available digital format free; http://www.engineprofessional.com/
-engine builder - https://www.enginebuildermag.com/
-grassroots motorsports - https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/
-PRI monthly issues - http://www.performanceracing.com/magazine/
so much content nowadays is available on-line - it's just a pain to view it in digital format sometimes...
