what do I need for a LS1 mass airflow

I am new to this can someone explain what the LT1 or LS1 mass airflow does better than the stock one . And what do I need to hook it up ? thanks

To use the LS1 or LT1 MAF you need to buy a MAF translator or Translator plus. The LS1 and LT1 are better because they are more modern MAF. They also allow you to insert the MAF after the Turbo to get a truer Air flow reading.

Once you have the Translator or Trans+. You can get one of the Extender chips which allows MAF values above 255 so you get a better performing chip since you don't have to estimate the MAF flow above 255.
