What happened to my post count?

I just noticed a few days ago, that my post count is about 500 or so less than what it used to be.
I e-mailed Bruce, but got no reply.

Don't you have something more important to do than worry about your post count? I've never understood why this is so important.

Everyonce in awhile, they have to clean out the archives. They usually kill them in the lounge and other threads that have no replys, old for sale post etc...
When those get deleted, your post count will go down.

Well, I believe you have to have at least 500 to have an avatar. I can't have one w/ 200 posts. I also think people generally take you more seriously in the for sale/wanted sections when you have a higher post count.

Also, don't YOU have something more important to do than Wh0re my thread?

Certain things are important to certain people. Personally, I like to be the best, so I'd love to have the most posts. I also would like to know exactly how many messages I've posted since I started. I totally understand why it's bothering him.

And just for the record, if you want an avatar, e-mail Bruce. Upon request he will let you have one (avatar) regardless of post count.

Turboter - A high post count = the best??? It's easy to get a high post count - just post alot or in alot of (in the end) useless threads (lounge type stuff). Then again, those are typically the ones that get zapped therefore, the post count would drop anyway...

I personally only post when I have something to add...when you're here long enough, they accumulate. Without looking, I couldn't even tell you how many post I have.

Oh, not at all. The one wth the most posts can also have the worst posts. What I'm saying is I would like to have the most posts. Who wouldn't. Ya know what's really funny? You say it doesn't matter, yet you have over 1,600 posts! That's like a guy with a full head of hair telling a balding guy not to worry about it!

I understand why some of the post would have been deleted. I didn't mean to strike back at you so harshly either.
I also try to only post when I have something to add. I've been here since before the "big crash" and had yet to break 1000 posts.

I also see that my count just got bumped up to 500+ and I have a GN avatar now. Cool. I guess you did that Jesse?
