What is the Doghouse??

I have searched a few times on this subject....and find nothing. Can somebody please tell me what the doghouse is, what the doghouse does, and where it is at on/around the engine??

The "doghouse" you are referring to is the upper plenum that the 86-87 motors used...it's what the throttle body connects to...the plenum is just a housing where all the intake air goes and gets thrown into the combustion chamber...it helps to use an RJC powerplate between the intake and the upper plenum to help distribute the air to all cylinders more evenly for less knock and more boost...

Thanks for the reply guys...and no I'm not really married, but have a girlfriend that everyone says that I'm married to.... So in that scence I do know what the doghouse is....LOL
