its for the under dash pullout ash tray lamp , with console they used a light blue 3m schotchlok tap to connect the console shiftindicator lamp grey wire

pullout ash tray was only used on column shift and mounted under the radio ..that lamp socket he showed goes into that ashtray.
your console indicator has a black (ground that clips to shifter base) and that lamp should also have a grey wire (has been known to break at the socket and ground out on shifter and blow the lps fuse) that goes up to the ashtray socket grey wire and connects on with a scotchlok squeeze connector

And if you have the twilight sentinel option turned on and the gray wire grounds out and blows the LPS fuse you will most likely blow up the ASIC chip inside the sentinel amplifier box. Don't axe me how I know that.... :rolleyes:
