what temp. does the fan come on?

I have a 87 t. i had a 195 stat in it but i just put the 160 in it. I thought that this would help it run cooler but still it gets hot and goes all the way to 210 when the fan comes on. Is my fan supposted to come on earlier?

In a stock chip it turns on at 197 deg. If you want the car to run cooler you'll have to get an aftermarket chip.
BTW if you do get the car to run that cool with a stock chip. It will through all the fuel and spack calculations off because the computer thinks the car is not warmed up.
